The Sunflower County Emergency Management Agency is dedicated to serving and protecting our community by building strong partnerships, promoting public preparedness, and ensuring effective response and recovery during emergencies. We work hand in hand with residents, local agencies, and community organizations to reduce risk, empower individuals, and strengthen the safety and resilience of Sunflower County.

Responsibilities

The Sunflower County Emergency Management Agency is responsible for coordinating countywide emergency preparedness, response, recovery, and mitigation efforts. This includes developing and updating emergency plans, supporting first responders, maintaining public warning systems, and providing timely information to residents during disasters. The agency works closely with local governments, community partners, and state and federal agencies to reduce hazards, protect lives and property, and ensure a strong and resilient Sunflower County.
